Multiple Teams · Coach Hathcock nabs 100th Jaguar Win!

Last Friday’s win over Mesa High School was a milestone victory for Coach Jeremy Hathcock as he notched his 100th win as Head Coach here at Desert Ridge High School. The school opened up in 2002 and had struggled in the early years.  Coach Hathcock took over in 2006 and quickly turned around the culture into a program that is one of the best in the state of Arizona.  His Desert Ridge teams have won 4 region/section titles – 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014.  His teams have advanced to 5 State Semi-Final games and 2 State Championship games.   Wanting it to be about the athletes he has coached and the program, Hathcock downplayed the accomplishment –  “it takes so many people to have the kind of success we have had here, I am just a piece of the puzzle.”

Prior to taking over Desert Ridge, Hathcock led Show Low for two seasons, winning a State Championship 2003.  His overall win total as a head coach is at 124.  Coach Hathcock will go for his 101st Jaguar victory at Friday nights homecoming game, as the 3 and 1 Jags take on the 3 and 1 Desert Mountain Wolves.
