Wednesday was Awards Night at Desert Ridge High School and Donjae Logan and Jaidyn Wolfe were named the Male and Female Jaguar Student Athletes of the Year! Both were given a plaque, along with a gift certificate for receiving this honor. Unfortunately Logan couldn’t make the ceremony as he was busy competing in the State Track Meet. Congratulations to both of them for this well deserved recognition!
Donjae Logan – Donjae, a junior, has been an integral part of the football program. He has been a starter on varsity since his sophomore year. Donjae plays both offense and defense. On offense he plays the running back and the slot position. On defense he stars as a defensive back. This past season he was named 1st Team All Region and 1st Team All State Defensive Back. Donjae also excels in track. This year he qualified for State in six different events. He broke his own school record in the long jump going 23′ 3″, good enough for a 2nd place ranking going into state. He also set the school record in the Triple Jump going 44′ 6″, which is 6th going into the state track meet. Donjae is also presently ranked in the top 5 in the 200m Dash and is also a key member of the 4×100 relay team that is ranked in the top 3 in the state. Academically, Donjae carries an amazing 4.3 GPA. Donjae is a valuable member of the Desert Ridge community, and has represented our school with outstanding character and leadership. Jaidyn Wolfe – Jaidyn, a sophomore, had a breakout year in swim, and is considered to be one of the best swimmers in the state. This year she set five school records, out of only eight individual events that there are. She placed 7th in State in the Breast Stroke, and 2nd in the State in the Individual Medley. In the classroom, Jaidyn carries a remarkable 4.75 GPA. Jaidyn has represented Desert Ridge High School with incredible class, leadership, and competitiveness. Congratulations Jaidyn Wolfe!
